Hello everyone.

Forgive me for the delay in checking out the MFL forums. I didn't know all of this help was available. We are moving over from CBS (several yrs) and would like to extend the capability of our league over here at MFL. I am a quick learner. IT guy by trade and have done some programming in my day. Just going to reach out for some assistance on CSS helps for our league. I'm not opposed to asking for help.

Would like anyone who has a few minutes to give some pointers to where we can get this thing jazzed up before the season begins.

Welcome to the forum. To get started, there is a great collection of CSS coding help and links pinned at the top of the Coding forum located here:
CSS Codes, Applications, and Links

It starts with general tips and covers many of the common codes and applications.

Good luck. If you run into snags or have questions fire away. This is a great community for helping jazzing up your site.

Revenge,

Thanks. I'll get on it. I'm pretty excited about the challenge. Hey, to keep me realistic, how long would you estimate it to take to get a decent custom site out for my league? Do you think I can get it done before August?
Revenge
By August - should be no problem. This stuff gets addicting. biggrin.gif

Revenge is right, this stuff gets REALLY addicting! The more you work on it the more you'll want to do. I'm still predicting a divorce in my near future laugh.gif

I guess if I were you, I would start with the skin and header. With your header image, I would look at creating an image that's maybe 1,000 X 176, and then hide the MFL language/header stuff at the top.

Revenge pointed you to a really good starting point in his post.

Another awesome resource to help you understand how css and basic JavaScript works is W3schools.com.

That site has some useful online examples that you can mess around with to see the impacts of changing variables or attributes.

Nice tip red zone!

Also, you'll want to make sure you are using Firefox and you have installed the web developer tool. This way you can see the changes you are making to your CSS real time. You can then save once you have it nailed down and upload it. http://forums.myfantasyleague.com/forums/i...showtopic=21647

Hey guys I am also new to MFL. Our group has been with CBS since 2002. We were all set to do CBS again this year until I decided to look around at other options. I came here and am simply amazed. I had no idea this was even possible. There is so much potential. The problem I have is that I am not an IT guy and have done very little programming. I am an extreme novice at programming. There are a couple of guys in my league that know a little but still no expert. I would love for some tips and help from the pro's here. Thanks everyone. I feel inspired seeing all of this!

I tried those out and they were a little too similar to the color of the text so I just picked a different shade of gray as you suggested. I also changed the banner.

Edit: Put this in the wrong post sorry
