so im trying to cut my friends faces out of pictures to use on the site. im using microsoft paint and i cut them out, but either when i save them or just try to copy and paste them to where i want them (on top of another picture) the picture that i cut is surrounded by a white box. ive tried to save it as a png but it still carries the box over. is there anything i can do for paint or another free program to cut the pic and then use it with another picture with just the part that i cut? this white backround is killing me. heres an example of what im talking about. i was able to fade out the edges of the picture but as you can see you can still see the white corners of the backround, and i cant fade them anymore otherwise the face itself gets faded out. thanks guys. again i dont have photoshop so if there is anything that im doing wrong or something else that i could use i would love the info. i really appreciate you guys helping me out.

Try GIMP. Its an open source program a whole lot similar to PhotoShop
Thunder56
And you can find tutorials on YouTube for GIMP if needed. smile.gif

or u can try paint.net. its open source and free as well. they have plenty of tutorials, as well as plugin packs that add a lot of features comparable to hotoshop.
